ABOUT SCOUTMASTER BIG BEAR

Scoutmaster Correa (aka. Big Bear) is a vetted, Scouting America adult volunteer with over 9 years of scouting experience who looks forwards to learning even more. He's spent many hours learning scout crafts and skills and is CPR and AED Certified to boot! He's even taken the time to take Wood Badge, [N5-333-19] the highest training an adult scout volunteer can take in Scouting America just to learn how to bring the best scouting has to offer to the youth.
As part of his Wood Badge requirements, he had to complete multiple service projects to scouting called 'Tickets' in the course of a year to earn his Wood Badge Certification.
He is very patient and well versed bringing out the best in Scouts, even in those who are neurodivergent being a father of four boys with ADHD.
In 2024, he was Award one of three Key 3 Leaders Awards in recognition for his service to his district. He enjoys cooking with Dutch ovens in the wild and seeing what awesome ideas young people can think up to leave a lasting and positive impact on their communities and the environment.
